- Entertaining Children |
Whether travelling
by plane, car, or train, here are some useful tips to help make
travelling with children more enjoyable for you and them!
- Be sure to
pack an accessible change of clothes, parents! You'll be glad
you did if you get spoiled with sticky candy or a refreshing drink.
- Visit a dollar
store and buy an arsenal of cheap toys. For every so many kilometers
that the child behaves, reward them with a toy to keep them occupied.
- For older
children, wrap up treats such as M&M's or Gummi Bears in tin foil.
Children will look forward to unwrapping the surprises to see
what's inside!
- For older
children, purchase a disposable camera for their sole use. This
will make sightseeing more fun and allow the children to capture
their own memories.
- When planning
your route by car, try and locate some parks or playgrounds along
your route. Make sure you have some balls or Frisbees available.
- Play "Scavenger
Hunt" in the car. Create a list of things for your children to
"spot" along your route.
- Most important:
have fun! View your entire trip as a means to spend quality time
with your child and make sure you both enjoy it!
